Oval Flowers

Paper flowers are a hot trend right now. However, many of these flowers are made using a punch or machine to make the basic design. That costs money and if you’re a beginning scrapbooker just starting, here is a super cheap and fast way to not spend any extra money for those beautiful prima flowers, nor having to buy punches or a machine.
Here is how….

If you are on-line, that means you have a computer. Then chances are you have Microsoft Word. So using the program, open it up and insert shapes….using the circle pull them to make ovals. Make three different sizes, (I used, 1inch, 3/4inch and 1/2inch) times 5 each….make sure you copy and paste so the 5 so that they are all the same size. Print them on cardstock paper.

Then, cut them all out as shown below ...

Next, poke a hole near the bottom of the 5 ovals stacked together, do this all 3 times and add a brad through the center.

Last, you can mist a little water so they will have more of a crinkled look and pull the ovals around to form a flower. You can also place some glue between the petals so that they don’t move once the paper is dried. Now you have beautiful flowers without having to buy any fancy machine or punch.

Here is an example on a layout:

Hope you enjoy!
